When I see RedBox, a page with over 4,000,000 fans, running contests on their wall against multiple promotional guidelines Facebook has clearly spelled out, I can’t help but wonder what they are thinking. This time, I asked:
I honestly didn’t think they would respond, but to their credit, they did.
When they supposedly admitted that they didn’t know the guidelines but “would pass this info on”, I called them out on their supposed ignorance of the rules.
RedBox’s social crew replied by denying the fact they didn’t know the rules. In that case, they are knowingly going against the guidelines on a page with more fans than the population of Utah and Idaho…combined.
Like I said in my post, I hope they have their resumes up-to-date, ’cause they’re playing with fire.
